IMPORTANT:LUMINARIUM requires VGA with 256 color capability!

This is a share-ware version of this program. The original
concept was to create simulated realities that had the feeling of
being a photograph without actually being one. It is the result
of a little program from my 'Kinetic Art Disk". It has a lot of
surprises and tends toward spontaneity. This makes it interesting
to creative persons as well as children of all ages. The first time
you load it I would recommend choosing AUTO from the main menu and
then hit F8 every few seconds. You will be able to do this about 30
times before the program crashes and it will give you an idea of
the different menu items. (If the program stops for any reason,
just type GO from the Dos prompt.)

In addition to the menu items there are a lot of special effects
keys such as the comma, semi-colon, {} keys, [] keys, v key, b
key etc. etc. that create different effects. There are lots of
these to play with and you have to hold them down for a few
seconds before they kick in depending on what kind of action is
happening on the screen.

The feature that I enjoy the most is the snapshot sequence. By
hitting the <spacebar> you will notice a dotted box appear on the
screen. This is the area of your snapshot. You then hit the
<ins> key and the sequence begins. The program takes over and
starts to play with the image (snapshot) changing, scattering and
compressing it. While this is happening (and you are quick) you
can take another snapshot and sequence starts all over again.

If you hit the F5 key while this is happening a spiraling
sequence starts using the image and you go into a separate part
of the program, control-wise. The F keys do different things in
this part. (see HELP from Main Menu) The F8 key behaves the same
and the program will start drawing over your spiral pattern for
some interesting results.

This program is intended for recreational use but has already
been used for some serious art and design projects.

There are a few things missing from the share-ware version-
4 menu selections, some effects, a gallery disk and a high res
version of the same program. If you are interested in purchasing
the full featured program please print out the document named:
ORDER.TXT or simply bring it into your favorite word processor
and type in the information, (using type-over setting) and then
print it out and send it in. Thank you for your interest.
