                                  SWOOP
                Simulation With Object Oriented Programming

SWOOP is a simulation library for the PC developed by the Department of
Automatic Control & Systems Engineering at the University of Sheffield, to 
answer the need in the simulation community for a flexible tool to model 
mixed-mode systems. SWOOP offers the following features:

*   Can model disrete systems using the networked process approach or an 
    event-driven approach

*   A wide range of process blocks available

*   Can model continuous systems as a series of functional subsytems

*   Continuous subsystems available include non-linearities, time delays and
    PID controllers

*   Can model combined discrete and continuous systems

*   Uses object-oriented techniques to create new process or subsystems from 
    a collection of old ones

*   Can output using data tables, time based graphs or high quality animation

*   Animation allows run-time interaction using mouse driven buttons, sliders
    etc.

*   Library approach allows user-customised functions, processes and 
    graphical output

*   AND NOW WITH VROOM (VIRTUAL REALITY USING OBJECT ORIENTED METHODS) TO
    ALLOW YOU TO VIRUALLY ENTER THE SIMULATED ENVIRONMENT!
